Library

Hello, my name is Ruth Fuchs and I am excited to be your child’s first library teacher.   During our 50 minute library class I strive to instill a love of reading.  Our library lessons are infused with the school’s curriculum and my love for science.  Don’t be surprised if your child told you they used cubes to measure the “Great Pumpkin” or wrote a code for a robot, or ice skated in the library to better understand friction and forces.  Our lessons pervade literacy and curriculum to excite our young, eager learners.

My goal is to first inspire a love of literacy and second a love for learning.  During your student’s library class, students are able to select from a wide range of books to continue to fuel their inquisitiveness or more importantly their love of books.

Students visit the library once or twice a week.  You too can check out our library at http://crlibraries.cr.k12.de.us/ to help guide your student during their library class.

Volunteers are always welcomed!
