Title I
A strong partnership between the school and home is essential if a quality educational program is to be provided to all students. McIlvaine Early Childhood Center is dedicated to the philosophy that parent involvement is integral to the success of each child. McIlvaine ECC will work with parents to establish regular, two-way meaningful communication to ensure
- Parents play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning;
- Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education at school; and
- Parents are full partners in their child’s education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child
Parent involvement may be defined as, but is not limited to, parenting, communicating, learning and home, volunteering, decision-making, and collaborating with the community.
McIlvaine Early Childhood Center will continue to build its capacity for strong parental involvement. MECC will support a partnership between its schools, parent/caregivers, and the community to improve student academic achievement and school performance.
